Booktrailers are a great way to promote reading to students. We've included a few here that were created by students in INLS 530: Young Adult Literature and Related Resources at SILS/UNC Please use them with your students. And add your own! Think about having students create them to communicate their understanding of enabling texts they read!
Note: These booktrailers were created with Movie Maker or I-Movie--no fancy software and no additional hardware needed! A brief handout is linked below that will give you a crash course in making your own booktrailers.
